Default Outlaw Bushing

Scratching my head on this one, thanks in advance for any insight.

This morning I reinstalled my new clutch master cylinder after cutting the piston from 80mm to 75mm. Also installed my brake booster and hooked up all the linkage for the brake pedal and clutch pedal. After finishing the install, i was accounting for the hardware remaining in the baggie marked "Clutch master cylinder" and found this bushing. The remaining hardware in the baggie is for the slave cylinder, line clips, etc. But I can't for the life of me figure out where this bushing came from. Been searching the manual and the PET and I just can't find it anywhere associated with the clutch and/or brake hydraulics or pedals. I got the two spacers in place on the firewall at the CMC, this one looks similar but about half as long. Pedal action is good, nothing loose. Pics below, 12mm length, 17mm OD, 11.5mm ID. Look familiar to anyone? Thanks again, Josh

Spacer for the bolts that goes between the firewall and the mounting bracket so you don't "squish" the padding.

Yup got those two in place correctly. This one is similar but about half the length of the CMC spacers. I'm wondering if it's from the pod, dash, or something close by and it got mixed in with the clutch hardware during disassembly

I should know, but I don't- is there some sort of package tray or knee bolster on an '83 on the driver's side? Maybe that's a spacer for mounting said tray (?) There's a similar (though thinner walled) spacer for the knee bolster on airbag cars.

Default Got it

Thanks guys, figured it out. Ill tell you if you wanna know, but lets make it interesting. I won't give any more clues other than it is in the PET.

I have a Baron 852 Porsche crest leather stamp that goes to the winner (picture below). Its @ 33mm x 21mm. I have tried my skills with it and decided Im not gonna use it (its tricker than it looks) so it will be awarded and shipped to the first Rennlist member who answers correctly. I hope the winner uses it, or passes it to someone who will because it's a cool little piece and I hate to see it collecting dust on my shelf.

So far, here's where we are:

Duc answered - CMC
Rob answered - shelf/knee pad thingy
Stan answered - clutch pedal clevis

First correct answer wins. Happy Presidents Day

well shux that bushing looks like it has been clamped offcenter its not for the clutch pedal clevis.

Could it be a spacer bushing for the brake booster?

That's correct, clutch pedal clevis takes a plastic sleeve bushing, at least in '83.

OK Times up.

This is one of the seatbelt buckle spacers. Must fallen down and got mixed in with the CMC hardware. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the help figuring it out.

As for the leather stamp prize, I suppose Ill keep it for now. If anyone needs something stamped, let me know :P
