Close but not true. The guy that built them has closed up shop and I have not seen or heard from him since. Another talented fabricator but the business skill severely lacked. Many of the pieces were from Burns Stainless

Mark: do you know why they paired the pulses the way they did?

Just by eye the primary tubes seem way too big even for a stroker 6.5L. They have a NASCAR look to them.

Maybe its just OCD, but a big factor driving me towards Tri Y headers is the dislike of using the 85.86 manifolds which need an adapter to fit a stock exhaust.

We don't know if it's just a marketing stunt to run eight pipes out of the head or whether it actually adds anything on top of a more conventional tri-y. I believe that copying without understanding will lead to disappointing results.
Grant found a local place that specializes in short pieces with various bends etc. and reasonable even to me prices. Harbor Freight has a welder thing for less than $100, and I already have good sunglasses and gloves (free with coupon). ***

Kaase I would not dream of blindly trying to copy, as you say too much unknown inside, plus its strictly a 4V design. OTOH running the numbers on off the shelf Tri Y's for the mod motor seems worth doing.

*** I don't need to make a set of headers, just resolve some fit and length issues, so I don't need to do any welding per say, tape would be fine.

Quick Reply: Tri Y, why or why not?
