Somebody knows dealer codes?
Hi there
I'm trying to rebuild my 928 history and I would to know where was delivered. I've got a code what Porsche assigns called 'Partner code' or 'Trading partner' which is 1001010, but I've not got to know where it corresponds and in my Porsche dealer neither ... somebody knows where this code corresponds?
Thanks a lot!!

Sorry, long time replying. It was S-LM 5402 which was on trading partner 1001010. Most of the press cars start S-L and went up through the years. I had another one which was an S-LU on 1001040
If you look on the option sticker, a lot of them have 097 097 rather than the trading partner code. (top right on the boot option sticker - not the handbook)

The Stuttgart registrations were usually in chronological order and when it comes to 928's, S-JX 5390 was delivered around March 1987 and S-JZ 5957 is from early September 1988. S-KA 2911 is from later in September 1988.
The 928 GTE, if registered in Stuttgart, and I estimate that it was, was certainly S-JY something.

I think that all ties up. There were a couple of early CS's on S-LK xxxx, and a whole batch on S-LM 53xx to 56xx in Oct/Nov92. My second one was built Dec93 and was S-LU 8167. I have also seen pics of cars on S-LS, S-LT, S-LV and S-LW around the same time. There are some 968 coupes and cabs on S-LD which i guess would have been MY92 launch stuff
What I trying to figure out is the 097 097 code on the option sticker. I think typically they dropped the last "0" on the trading partner code when it was used here eg 1001010 would be come 100 101 - this is also seen in the service book some times next to the option sticker
Note option 00681!

Very cool thread!!! I decide to found history of my 996 Turbo which had first service and oil change in Porsche Stuttgart, so I check the dealer code in google and found this thread! I have a 996 turbo with DEALER CODE 1001010 and service stamps from Porsche Platz. Also I check that I have 928 GTS in service book it marked at the field BETRIEBS-NR as 104 423S...I didn't found anything in google, but after I check the official dealer vin decoding ant its DEALER code marked 1001040 and commission 423S...So its mean that with service book its also better to check the porsche vin decoder at the dealer
