Well, its not the MAF, another has been tried. There were some vacuum leaks and new hoses added but... I'll try some other suggestions too. Thanks for your help... now where did I leave my cheque book :>) ?

An update: Okay the Porsche mechanic believes the problem is the fuel injectors... one side is good, one side is bad... he switched them around to test and the problem switches sides and now the other side is bad and the other good.. okay I'm way out of my depth... the recommendation is to replace all 4 on the one side and this will fix the problem. $200/piece cdn plus labour... any thoughts? help... hope this makes sense..

I would have the injectors serviced before buying new ones. I (and many others) have used http://www.injector.com/. It runs about $200-250 for the set, and quick turn-around.

I believe there's a Ford injector thats a direct swap and about 1/5 the price of the Porsche part, but it's just a vague memory from previous posts - try a search and see what you come up with...

sounds more like the brain is not firing that bank of injectors if that's possible. bit unlikely that 4 injectors from 8 are bad and they're all on the same side. what can go bad with an injector? must be further up the chain IMHO
