Default Interior screws

My car ate a small phillps head machine screw (perhaps m4 x 6) that holds an electrical connector to the bottom of steering rack cross member near the ignition switch. I cannot find a match in my collections, including R. Budds kit. I will remove the seat if I have to . . . .

Anybody recommend a seller of interior hardware? I'm looking on ebay and see bag o'bolts by the pound, but of course not sure what's in there even w/pic.

Steve - if you know the size, just go to HD or Lowes, or your local hardware store. They stock all the metric sizes/types.

Ed, problem is I don't. It isn't in the katalog. I don't mind buying bag of bolts; I was trying to narrow the pile a little. I can get pic of the bracket and where it is located in two weeks.

I have a billion pics of all of the steering column and gauge cluster guts from working on the Turquoise '91- are these white plastic brackets the things you're needing the screw for? (I think they're part of the wiring from the airbag contact thingee in the steering wheel hub towards the ignition key, and part of the cruise control stalk connections on the one towards the driver's door)

If so, the screw is somewhere in here:

(I have another airbag car in the garage right now, can go find the screw and get dimensions, if in fact this is the bracket you're talking about.)

Get a nice BIG pickup magnet and swish it around and see what you find.
