Default Funny CL 928 ad...

http://scranton.craigslist.org/cto/4822386099.html

The car is a 1983 porsche 928. It has around 107,000 miles, 4.7 liter v8, 4 speed automatic. It was made in Germany, which makes it lighter and faster. I parked it in 2003 and havent had it out since then. It ran great when i parked it. My mechanic got it running in 2006. It just needed a battery and some fresh gas, so i assume the same thing would be needed now. $9300...ask for Brad.
Emphasis mine.

(No affiliation, of course!)

$9300 seems a bit high, even though the paint looks like it's in good shape and the interior is decent.

He needed a mechanic to put fresh gas and a new battery in it. I think he will come down on the price.

OK now who thinks those photos are current I doubt it is that green in Pa right now ! Plus he would have had to PUSH the car outside and off the pavement for the photos then PUSH it back into storage....

Everything is negotiable. It was $9300 in 2006, last time it ran. Nine years ago.

I haven't seen one of those jokes in a while. But it couldn't possibly be the SS version, we TRY to stay away from the police

The "SS" version as in "Super Sport".
Like the Chevelle SS or Camaro SS.
They always had those giant stripes.
So this must be the 928 Super Sport...

License plate looks like issued in 1998, not sure on the tag. BJE - 0613 is the plate, maybe run a carfax.

Asking prices don't mean much, this one is dreaming.

Unless it's a coincidence, he's rated this as a Hagerty condition 3 car since that's exactly where they've valued it.

Except that it's nowhere near a 3 or 4, and he missed the note that says "-20% for auto"

I believe that Haggarty even as flawed as their valuations are.....requires that it be a RUNNING DRIVING CAR.....
This pile of parts has not been a CAR for over NINE YEARS !!!
