My Porsche story and my 84 928S

Excellent taste in cars - my favorite trifecta of the 80s and beyond - 928, 308, and vette! The shark looks great too - good job restoring it. Unlike others, I enjoyed your story - that's the fun of it all - how we got here! Don't let the cantakerous sods pull you down!
As ro the low front, it may be that the car had Eibach springs installed along the way which will do that. Good springs, but I don't like how they lower the car. Carl at 928 Motorsports sells protection plates that you should look at if you keep it low.

Nice looking car and great job on it.
To me the ride height looks OK in the pictures taken of the car parked in the driveway, but it's hard to judge for sure in pictures only. The best thing to do is to actually measure it and to set it to the correct height. It does make a difference.

"The 928 was decent. Most of the stuff worked. There was a warning light on about non functioning parking and stop lights and lots of motor vibration. The back seats were OK, the front seats were worn and torn.

You've managed to hit 928 Mecca in N TX. There are lots of pretty active guys here, we have a top notch indie mech and the world leader in 928 parts deliveries all only a few miles from you. Look forward to chatting at the next bkfst. OBTW, I have a Mondial Cab, so the poor stepchild of the 80s 308. I just posted up that miserable thread on F-chat about the Stilleto. You could combine your love of Chebby with your love of Ferrari and buy it off ebay! lol, I keel myself.

Thanks guys.
The ride height is probably due to wrong size tires front AND rear. The fronts are a 45 series (should be 50, right?) and the tears are 255/50R16's (probably should be the virtually impossible to find 245/45R16).
The 308 is currently getting some work done too.

Yes, great "how I got there story". Ferrari is on my next "buy it now" list but the price is right scenario is getting harder and harder to find. The 308 was always my 1st choice. I was stationed on Ohau and used to see them filming "Magnum PI" at various locations. Always loved the 308. It's no 928 S-4, but would still look pretty cool in the stable, alongside my 72 Datsun 240z, and 87 S-4.
Great job on everything you accomplished getting the 928 up to par. Keep us posted on further developments.
