Hankook Ventus S1 Nobel2. On 2013 18" Panamera 5 spoke wheels. 225 front, 265 rear. Rated high in all test categories, especially low noise. I can't believe how quiet these tires are - yet comfortable, wear well, and grip well. Hankook put a lot of effort into these tires, and it shows.

I just did a quick review search. I must say I'm even a little surprised that all of the reviews are so positive and equally surprised that all comments echo my own impressions.

One reviewer wrote: "Ultra quiet and smooth. Replaced the Continental DWS which I found very noisy after 20K".

The reviews at TireRack(where I got mine on sale) are a little more mixed, but great ride and quietness are still universal comments. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ntus+S1+noble2

My car had worn PS2s up front and Conti DWS in back. Can't really say it's a fair comparison due to the tires being so worn. But, I can say that I agree the Hankooks are extremely quiet - the quietest tires I've had on any car I've owned. The ride is very smooth and comfortable, even on 18 inch wheels. Love 'em...will buy again.

I just bought a set of Nitto Invos, what an upgrade from the Dunlop direzza's I had on there first, I have to work really hard to try and break traction where as before my back end was all over the place and so was the car's. Apparently they don't last as long, but with the good roads and sweeping bends out here I would sacrifice a bit of tyre wear any day!

Default 3rd set

I have used Falken, Coniti and the last 3 sets Hankook evo v12 I get about 15-16K out of the front and 8-10k out of the rear tires the Hankooks have been the quite ones but none of them last very long.

I understand the evo v12 has been replaced by now so I'm looking again what to try next?

In '11, I put a set of Hankook V-12 Evo 1's on the car. About a month ago, the steel belt separated on the front passenger tire. In '05, the then rage for a good discount tire was the bridgestone Fuzion. Put a set on my car. 4 years later the front tire had a separated tread. Next time I buy tires, I'm paying up and putting a set of quality tires on the car and stop worrying about saving a few bucks.

I use either Yokohama or Kumho tires on all my vehicles. Great value and performance from both.

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. A little noisy, but the Borla exhaust hides the noise.

I run the Sumi HTRZ-IIIs on the 928 and the Hankook V12 Evos on my 911, both great.

Last 2 sets on my wife's .:R32 were DWS and they're a great DD tire.

If you like the DWS but want more stick, I'd suggest the DW.

i use federal tires. they have very thick thread. I bought them in 2011, probably drove less than 300 miles on it. now they are starting to have a crack that goes the entire outside diameter of the tire on the flat part. I don't know if that means the tire is going bad. i figured once my car is were I want it to be and I am back in California I am going to change them.
