Default Window help.

I've tracked the power through the switch and I have power to the door. I am assuming the motor/regulator is bad. Is there anything else in the door i should be checking before I order a motor? In the pic below I can tell someone else has been in there and the part that I can see in the pic does not look like the pics I see online for the replacement part. This makes me assume something else is in line. I don't want to pull it completely apart until I have to since I do drive it on nice days. Any help would be appreciated.

That is an early factory window motor.

you can take it out, clean it, and bench test it to see what is wrong, It could be that 30+ year old grease is clogging up the mechanism.
