The good:
Bought in 2012.
Car once belonged to Mark Andersen's son (2006-2010) from 928 International
147,500 miles
TB/WP replaced about 1,000 miles ago by El Greco (Panos)
Porktensioner same time
X-Pipe 1,500 miles ago
high-flow cats ditto
Fuel lines when purchased
Behr Porsche Radiator 1,000 miles ago (Now $1900!) have stickers to add back
Torco 15W-40 last oil change (just over 1 year-oil is clean and no loss).
Resealed PS pump (was leaking-no leak)
New Denso AC compressor and drier 1,000 miles ago*
PS Rack 2009-2010
Big Reds Brakes all around
Rolled fenders
Spare, Porsche Pump, Gloves, original owner's manual and service manual along with sticker
New Beru Wires
New Dist. Caps
slightly used coils (2,000 miles)
New Bosch (non-platinum)
Rebuilt Auto Tranny (1,000 miles ago)
New ball joints
Alignment
18" Turbo Twists (replica)* 225 front, 265 rear 30%/50%. Should be changed but still nice
Engine from 87 (had TBF during Anderson ownership-swap out)
Constantine Clamp
Constantine bearings
No movement
New thermostat (prior to buying)
Bad:
Needs the replacement bolt for the Porktensioner
Intake looks good and everything functions but needs flappy connected-if it works
Leak at filler neck (usual)
Washer Fluid needs fix (have new check valves-may be tank)
*turbo twists need clean up-curb rash all around-mild bend in one.
Steering column lock broken--good news-have ALL the parts
*AC is empty--may need o-rings---also may need to adjust bracket for AC. Front and rear worked
Usual dash and pod cracks
Seats in 80% shape. Little bolster ware
Carpets could use a steam (will clean prior); rear is ratty.
Paint has mix of clearcoat and single stage. Some clear coat failure at rub strips and other parts.
Car is 3-footer rom most of rear (one bad spot) and 5-10 feet at front but certainly presents nice. In time I'd respray front and clean up clearcoat.
Rubber all looks good.
All electrics work (may need to swap bulb--have all bulbs in LED to replace)
Need to fix backlight of pod (no lies)
All digital functions and cruise control work
Seat memory works (8 way seats--no heat)
Extras:
Used clean door sills (needs a fix)
Front Spoiler (used needs to be modded for 91-not on car)
Rear belly pan (needs front one)
This would make a great restorification or daily driver.
Great bones even at 147K+ miles.
Asking $12,999 or best offer.

Why does the hood look like it is slightly open in many of the pictures? Nice looking car in spite of the relative high miles.

It's got good bones. Not winning a concours but not a bad car.

Michael, you pictures of your car are just great. I kind of wish it was a five speed because I think I would be all over it. I just bought an 87 5-speed that is not nearly as nice looking as yours, but the mileage seems to drive the value, very much with these 928s. Mine has about 92k miles. Too, your car is about $2000 away from me which plays into the value; and then I have to figure out about where to put it, if I bought it. Darn, I do like it. Whoever it was that fell through on the last deal probably should have gotten a divorce rather than giving up on your car.

I'm really surprised that this car is not on its way to enhance someone's own Xmas by now. I could see it sitting in the drive way in the morning with the keys or something out of it under the tree with a note to look outside; even if that is from Santa to Santa.

I believe it was a rhetorical question; I think his question, Sean, is what did it sell for? We may never know.
Not just this car, but others known here have sold and been asked and chosen not to respond.
Another reason why cars like 928s are hard to value. And when someone asks "What is my car worth?" or links an auction or ad on ebay and comments, it is hard to respond, it's just another opinion unless money changes hands. But you know that.
