1982 PORSCHE 928 WEISSACH in PHX
I stumbled on this 928 on PHX Craigslist:
http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/4804898092.html
It is this car that sold at Barrett-Jackson in 09.
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archi...NG-COUPE-71008
I'm hoping to get some better pics. I'm curious about the possible value of this car considering its apparent condition, miles, and the fact that its a Weissach Edition. Any feedback would be appreciated.

According to Haggerty:

According to NADA:

The Weissach factor does add, but use the numbers from Barrett-Jackson as a guide.

It's a rare bird for sure. Auto is less valuable. Condition will be the biggest determinate of value. Weissachs generally came with 3-pieces of matching luggage.
Our local (late) Dennis Szermet would had a 5-speed with matching luggage, cowbay boots, and anything else he could find that had the same color scheme.
Nice cars.

I think they are special if you are a collector. Some people go crazy over pascha seats in other early models, sorry Ed, but these have provenance built in. They are not performance oriented, only for the purists, but I think they are undervalued. Think 356 with luggage fastened to that chrome rack on the rear. It'll never get that kind of respect, but this is a rare piece. I've also seen some with a number plate on the dash; if it was done properly, I don't see why that couldn't be part of "restoration" if you bought it.

I find it curious that the Haggerty site say "The factory states exterior is white sand and the leather is light grey and magenta" Light grey and magenta? I would not consider the Weissach interior to be those colors. Is that actually what Porsche called those colors?

Hey... if people want to value 3-pedal cars lower than 2-pedal cars, I'm all for it. Nothing would make me happier
Now, if only Porsche had made an automatic GT.

Always difficult to value these cars. About 225 were actually built as one of mine is number 219. The luggage set was three pieces and not two. However two is better then none.
If the car is mechanically sound and all maintenance is up to date it should be worth $10k to $15k depending how it is marketed.
Needs the Weissach crest with the number on it - contrary to popular belief the crest came in an envelope (also included a certificate saying which number out of 205) with the car and it was up to the dealership/owner if it was to be affixed to the car.
I have about 7 sets of luggage with some spares as well.

Sorry but the interior tone is too similar to the '80s Masers...
I was about to say "but a nice original 928 is still a nice find"...then I noticed the stripes in the pic?
