HERE WE COME....It's official, after a short stay in California, we are headed to Fort Worth, TX ! My wife and I were out there last week searching for our new dwelling and man we are excited !
Time to start packing and we will be back in town to stay before Christmas...can't wait to join the crew out there
If one of you is 55 or more, check out Robson Ranch, south of Denton. It is the best 55+ community in TX, IMHO after checking them all, with great amenities.
You'll be in great company there in DFW. Plus you'll live in a state where you can actually register your cars locally. Sometimes the Great Circle Route is the fastest way to get where you are going. I'll see you guys in the early spring if all goes well and my project schedule holds up.
Thanks everyone...It has taken time to get there, but it's a great feeling seeing light at the end of the tunnel!
Palmdale isn't bad considering what's below. We've had sunshine almost every day for the past 11 months. Yes Dr. Bob, I'll finally have the same state license plate on every car
I plan on attending as many TX 928 events as possible!
Movers arrive tomorrow...they will pack the truck Thursday, then we will start the drive Friday. The Sharks will be delivered, wife and I will caravan our other vehicles.
First stop in Vegas to visit friends 1 maybe 2 nights, then head East to Albuquerque for a night. Should arrive in Fort Worth Monday evening or Tuesday morning! Dependent on weather.
Darien,
One of the first things to remember since you are moving to Texas. You cannot base your actions on the weather. After all, it could snow in the morning and be 70 degrees that afternoon. Or vice versa.
If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait 5 minutes and it will change.
