I don't know about it being the Daytona racer. I asked for and received pictures of the Daytona car while it was sitting at the back of the old Porsche museum. That was after I was initially told it had been destroyed.

The pictures, which are also here on Rennlist somewhere, had it in full Daytona livery with some very famous racer names on it's roof. It would have been a shame to take off all that Daytona livery to put this livery on it.

Is there anyone we can contact to make sure which car this is?

Here are photos, some of which you previously posted, of the 1984 Brumos Daytona entry that finished 15th.

I've spoken to Don Leatherwood of Brumos about the Daytona 928 racer in the past. He is currently the Director of the Brumos Collection(museum). He's been with them for well over 30 years, being involved with all of the race teams, including when this 928 raced at Dayona. I believe he said that it was the late Bob Snodgrass of Brumos who had the idea to add the small "8" after the #92 for the numbering on the car.

Next time I have the chance I'll see if he can shed more light on this. He might know some specifics of what became of it. Truly nothing regarding Brumos that Don doesn't know & he is quite the story teller. I have told him he needs to write a book, I know I'd buy it!
