Default Crankcase weeping

Second noob-thread today, a personal best.

1983 4.7L

I noticed the other day a bit of weeping from the seam between upper and lower crankcase. I dried it, and today I see its back. Its very slight, but troubling.

I have used a lot of carb cleaner in the recent weeks cleaning up this engine. Im wondering if the weeping is carb cleaner remnants, or could I have used so much cleaner that its deteriorated the seal between the crankcase halves and now oil is weeping? No way to know if was weeping before the cleanup, it was pretty gross everywhere. I wiped it clean again and smelled the rag, no noticeable carb cleaner odor. There is still a nominal bit of oil in the crankcase even after draining.

Curious if this has been seen before after cleaning and is normal after such a cleaning. Im hoping its just excess carb cleaner and it will "run its course". Or if not, looks like Im disassembling more before re-assembly. Wasn't part of the plan but nows the time if it has to be done. See pics below. Thanks in advance for any input. Josh

Given that appears to be the front passenger corner it's unlikely to be from between the girdle halves, and more likely coming from the tensioner bolt hole which is connected to a head stud hole which weeps oil.....

It is the front passenger side. Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep an eye on it
