oil pan stud kit, anti seize ro threadlock
i have looked and did not find anything so i thought i would ask and maybe this would help others with the same question.
i am installing the oil pan stud kit. do i use locktite or anti seize on the studs that go into the block?

My personal choice would be loctite but given the steel studs and aluminum block, there may be other opinions out there. Once those studs are in there, it is hard to envision when you would have to remove one. Better they don't have any reason to back out IMHO.

i am also thinking blue locktite.
there is not much torque on the nuts and i would be concerned that they would rattle loose without much tension on them.

Just did this job, Locktite into the block. I used antisieze on the exposed studs for the nuts. One thing, there are about 6 studs that will screw though the top. There is not a top to the holes. I did not let the locket set, and the threads were shorter then I wanted when I put the pan on. the lock nut turned the stud. I had to redo these studs, so don't forget to let the loctite set up. My advice is know which studs don;t have a top and may turn into the block when you se the locking nut.

I used blue loctite into the girdle so the studs stay put (otherwise when using nylock nuts, some of the studs will keep turning up too high). I chose blue so that I can remove them relatively easily if I ever want to remove them, by just double-nutting and turning them out. Red would require heat to get them out, and heating the block is tough - its got a very large 200kg aluminum heat sink attached
I also used anti-seize on the nuts, because I do that compulsively (except where the WSM says to use nothing).
