Can anyone tell for sure whether this speed sensor disc/pole ring is mounted the right way?
I have the suspicion that it was mounted backwards, and doesn't line up with the speed sensor, so that doesn't work.

There is roll pin between it and diff housing which locates it and prevents it rotating. IIRR it can't be mounted wrong way round. At least not without modifying it.
