The only place that I had a problem with on the food was the bar in grapevine.... that served the eggs benedict that tasted like sour mayonnaise.... and the omelet that was cold and dripping raw egg whites into the tasty hash browns.... I returned the eggs benedict, and then watched someone's wife spit out her 1st taste of the same... right back on the plate... no pretending into a napkin... lol I go for the people but I gotta eat.. its the 1st meal of the day.... That place in Arlington was good...

The problem with good breakfast places is that they are usually full.... and don't usually have good parking...

ahem...I...uh...Well... I'd just like to say I've only been to a couple of these very well thought out and planned events, and it has always been perfect. Superior planning, Great food, questionable company, nice environs, acceptable conversation, mostly great cars... but always fantastic food in a great venue. And of course let's not forget the superior planning, without which we'd all be eating tacos with the 911 guys (no offense). Yes, I'm a happy camper I am. I'm so happy with the planners of this event, and so happy that we have it.

So...uh...anyway, that's it. I'm happy. Just...just...by God jolly good, I can tell ya.

Can I get a napkin for my nose?

SG,
Could it be that hollandaise sauce that tastes like sour mayonaise is correct for Eggs Benedict?...Maybe we have just found out that you don't really like correctly prepared Eggs Benedict.

And did you ask for the no-drip omelet? WTH? You really can't complain too much if you didn't specify a temperature to which the eggs should be cooked. Room temperature for eggs is good for some folk in this world.

We could go back to Division Street Diner in Arlington anytime since it's only about 3 miles from my house, and the owners love having us there, but I know it's not that convenient for the great majority of the folk that attend the breakfasts. (I'm not counting Chuck since he doesn't ever come anyway)

Damn, I miss Andrew's.

Well, and SG, because he never comes any more either.
And I miss Andrews too!

I appreciate all that Laura does to get us together but I certainly don't mind traveling a little to mix it up from time to time. Wherever you guys end up, I'll be there.

Jim,
Mostly tongue-in-cheek (for SG's benefit)

Except for the part about Andrew's.

I'm with Alex. Anywhere is fine with me. I'll drive to Plano every now and then if I have to. Different locations yield a different mix of attendees, but it sure would be nice to have a "home" base ala Andrew's or the Dixie House at 183 and Westview. I think we just haven't found that place yet. I liked the place up on Euless Main Street several months back. I thought it was surprisingly good and a little bit more central location.

I GREATLY APPRECIATE LAURA'S HARD WORK TO GET US PLACES FOR BREAKFAST !

Jim can't give me crap anymore because I have been better about attending breakfasts now that I'm not traveling for work 100% of the time.... now he just needs to show up with an engine in the right end of the car.... lol
