First pic, put seat belt buckle into so it doesn't bang around when not in use. Second pic, rubber buffer so rear hatch stays aligned. Also there should be a Teflon tape on the hatch near the buffer so the hatch doesn't squeak.

So the Teflon tape goes on the hatch part that makes contact with the rubber? Like a lamb I installed mine like it was when I removed them. Behind the rubber part. I thought it was to protect the paint and make adjusting rubber stops easier. Of course my hatch still squeaks.

So there's a plastic shim/whatever between the rubber part and the rear buttress, so that adjusting it doesn't mess with the paint. On the hatch where the rubber part contacts the hatch frame, there's another piece of tape to protect the paint from damage as the hatch moves around. For the piece on the hatch, I've substituted a tab of heavy-duty clear packaging tape. Lasts a year or more. I remove it for cleaning/detailing. New tape goes on after an alcohol wipe and before any wax or sealant is applied. The factory tape that goes there is translucent not clear, at least it was last time I bought them. They are not at all expensive from our regular suppliers.
