If your memory serves you well would you see issue with this style of injector in regards to seating in the manifold and the spray being unhindered. I am sort of wondering if any upgrade injector may need a longer snout. I think the CIS guys tend to as they need to modify the manifold with an insert. I appreciate there may need to be a different O ring installed.

Not Stan here, but I recently installed Greg Brown's adapter kit on my 84 Euro with new injectors (Accel 150824), as recommended by Greg. The picture you show looks to be the injectors I used. I have the same question as you, since these injectors do not have tips that protrude into the intake, but seat into the intake runners as below. The car runs so much better, probably due as much to poor performing original injectors as to the "modern" design injectors. Gone is the lumpy idle, random misfires and bucking under light load. The improvement was remarkable. I did use the "square shouldered" o-rings supplied in the kit, no leaks.
My question is, is the way these injectors seat OK, or is something lost by the fact that the tips of the injectors are not further into the intake?
Just a suggestion.
We sell the new improved original style injectors.
Lots of happy customers with great improvement to the performance of there 84 to 86 S2 cars.
A lot less money than the use of the conversion kit. These injectors are plug and play no modification needed. https://928srus.com/products/928-606...6-16v-set-of-8

On the later 32v cars the Design II technology was an upgrade - mainly atomization - better internals.
These injectors have all the upgrade but not the 4 hole. And half the price of the conversion set.
The original injectors are terrible once they start to get old. Anything would be an improvement.
If your friend wants to try a set. If they help him pass he keeps them and pays for them. If not send them back.

Nice picture. I couldnt have explained it better. That might be a question for Greg B if your on speaking terms. It would be interesting to know since those injectors are recommended.
