I did this job outside. Too many other cars in shop right now. It just happened to be a perfect 72 degree Phoenix day. I would prefer the booth for these types of colors because of the even lighting in a booth. Oh well such is life.

Hi John, We really miss you guys over in TX. I hope to get back over there in 2015. Last couple of yrs have been chaotic. Maybe I can talk Joe (polecat) into another roadtrip your way.

That wouldn't be hard to do. Dee just mentioned, she'd like to make another run to 3rd coast.

I need to repaint my El Camino, and my 928. I'll call ya as soon as I get a moment Kevin. Been a long time since we talked. Car is looking good!!!!!

Thank you for the inspiration to get mine done. Should be ready for paint in two weeks. Just have to get trim off windows and washer nozzles out.

Congrats! Looks great! Lots of work, if my feeble memory is any good at all. Worth it for the results you want though.

My question also, but by the looks of it, it hasn't impacted on the quality of the job. Love seeing new paint...just awesome.

Helllo Kevin i can't keep quiet any longer.

You have no fear painting your 928 outdoors,

Didn't you get crud in the base and clear?

Is that the reason you started wet sanding with 1000 grit?

Did you blow through the clear at all starting with 1000 gt?

An inquiring painter needs to know..

Pictures never show imperfections like muddling or specks in the paint.

Really how good did it turn out?

If no specks of dirt in the finish or unevenness in clear coat surface

i need to move to Arizona.
