Toys for Tots - Christmas coming up
On the Off Topic Rennlist Forum - Politics & Controversy, there was a very appropriate post yesterday dedicated to 'Toys for Tots'.
This is one of our family favorites for Christmas, and I'm posting here to suggest it as a 928 owners 'special activity' for 2014. Let's get everyone who posts on Rennlist 928 Forum for the next 45 days to commit to purchase at least one toy for the Toys for Tots campaign. The following was my response to the original post on P&C forum:

Wonderful Post Divot. My wife and I started a tradition nearly 20 years ago involving Toys for Tots.
We told all our nieces and nephews that their 'gift' for birthday or Christmas AFTER they turned eighteen would become a nice card. The money we previously used to buy them gifts would be put in a pool and used to buy new toys for donation to Toys for Tots each Christmas. Our 'pool' is now well into several hundred dollars.
When we drop of the 7-10 bags of toys at a Marine corps (or other) collection spot that we have purchased, the recipients are always overwhelmed. The shopping trip we make for this purchase is always the most enjoyable and rewarding Christmas shopping experience we have.
