How best fix steering wheel cover thread?

I have a couple of places where the thread stitching my leather steering wheel cover is coming loose. What's the best way to fix this? Trim it with sharp scissors, singe it with heat, or what?

Re-stitch it.

Easy to do.
Easier if you have a curved needle.

I've redone mine all the way around with great success.
