Taking my cruise control brain out to get it worked on. Finally work the pin off the box, smiling at how simple that was then

NOOOOOOOOOO!

The top of the plastic pops off the harness and, in slow motion the pins pop out of the plastic....crap.




OK. after several minutes of swearing at myself at how stupid I am, my sanity returns.

Anybody have a schematic on what color goes to each numbered hole? Is there an easy way to hold them in position as I get the next one in while face down, half in and out of the car?

God, please have an easy way to do this!



Finally, I look at the outside of the Cruise control brain, I find the markings to be 911 617 227 00. Is that a 911 cruise control? Is this why it didn't work?



If I ever get this plug together, do I need a 928 brain, or will this one work once it is fixed (exorcised)?

Ya got the wiring diagram?

I had to do that a few days ago on a bulb control unit, except I had 2 inches of room to move 12 wires with both of my hands. Sucked.

I can think of better ways to spend an hour.

No I don't have the wiring diagram/pin color code. I was hoping to get it here.

I'm such a klutz sometimes!

Yeah this is going to take some time. Have you found a good way to hold the pins that are in the correct place while you position the others? Glue gun?

I'll wait till this weekend for better lighting and ample patience.
