Default Kansas City 84 Euro Save

Well, I guess I'm back in the tank. I've been looking for a while and decided to get this one because of the cosmetic things that were already taken care of. I wasn't a blue on blue fan but the interior is growing on me.

I picked it up in a very crumby part of town. They knew I was coming a week in advance and didn't bother to wash it. It was leaking oil, rear brakes grinding the rotors, last oil change sticker from 2009, and it wasn't running right. I could've ran but I didnt, this car has too much potential. I drove all day, blowing up Darien, AO, and John Curry because the stereo didn't work. Therfore all I could hear were the rattles, growns, and voices in my head saying "rural Illinois at night by the side of the road is going to be cold and lonely." But I made it, despite changing all spark plugs in the parking lot of an O'Reillys which solved nothing. Lost 2 qts of oil under the car over 520 miles but it's done. Now to compile the list, of which I really hope a rear main seal is one of the items to be fixed. Picks of it unwashed

, then in my yard after the trip, then with my son who is stoked to have a shark
back in the garage.

As soon as I get the brakes done, these freshly repainted 996s are going on it.

Nice save, in order to replace all of the gaskets and soft lines with the least amount of pain you should remove the engine, which will give you a chance to do other things.

BTW welcome to the sunroof delete club

Well, I hope it's not a rear main seal for your sake, as that will affect the immediate drivability.

But you are aware that is a picture of the FRONT of your engine and the rear main seal is on the REAR of the engine, right?

Beautiful car. I think you did good.

Uh...what? Yeah, that mess in the front and in the V was from the can on top with less than finger tight bolts. That's handled, but you knew that ; l.

Very nice. Out of curiosity, where in town did you pick it up?
