I put the recovered drivers door card on today and i am having troubles.
It is just barely touching the plastic sill insert and catching as i open the door.
i recvered the bottom with vinyl so it is not any fatter than the carpet.
My question is.... i got the black "riivets", tabs or whatever they are called off ebay. they are the black ones. I have also seen the white ones. stock was white.
the black seem to pull our far too easy, and i am having trouble heeling the door card attached to the metal door.
Both are the same diameter. The white ones are 1MM longer than the black and have a standoff which allows the panel to be farther away from the door.
If they are pulling out too easy, it may be the hole in the door is larger than it should be.
If the panel is catching on the sill as the door is opened, it could be a result of the holes being too big which would allow the panel to hang lower on the door, or the door itself is lower which could be a hinge problem.
When I did my doors not too long ago, I found that the bottom of the door panel was a bit water damaged and swollen. This swelling condition made the plastic map pocket push against the door and made the panel push out and away from the door. When it was all put together after fiberglassing, the protruding plastic pocket persisted to push the panel a few millimeters out from door, and the clips wouldn't snap in tightly in the holes, and therefore the door panel would catch on the sill like yours.
My solution was to dremel trim about 5mm of plastic off of the length of the bottom of the plastic pocket. Short of buying new panels, this was the best I could come up with. I remounted the plastic pocket to the door panel and it fit in much tighter. the trimming is unnoticeable because it's only on the outer lip of pocket. Once trimmed and reinstalled, the clips snapped in tight, and the panel no longer catches on the sill.
In my experience the bottom of the door card only catches if the bottom is not snugg to the door. If the clips are not properly holding the door card tight to the door, replace them with porsche original instead of the ebay knock offs. The original clips should fix your problem.

Ouch!
FWIW I've been using the ones I sell on eBay in my shop for about 8 years now and not run into any issues with them.
