because I simply can't sell the damn thing in the state that is in.
You need to put a price on all 'for sale' posts! I will start with $500.

There is no hidden agenda. I saw Denny's post and since I know what he is going through, replied. We came across each other at the Fall Rennlist drive last month and he told me the sad story about his car and the nightmare the new performance cams and valve springs are causing him. I felt really sorry for him and still do. Yes it might not belong in this thread but it does belong in this forum. Sorry for the sidetracking.

Roger, there is NO hidden agenda and sorry for taking it this way. I have been speaking to Colin directly indeed. I have been a big fan of him and a big supporter as well. He knows that and you know that from all the parts he has brought from you that he installed in my car.

My post was my reaction to your elation about him been at your neck of the woods and making your car run perfectly. A bit jealous? sure. But come to MY shoes. I have a car that is SITTING for a year and half and WAITING for it to be fixed. You in my mind seemed to have a priority and you have at least a running car! So understandably I reacted. Maybe too much. But that is the way i feel and Colin knows that very well and I will leave it at that. I have a lot of respect for him and his work and he also knows that. I just want this nightmare to end.

Again sorry if you think that this came at your expense and it is not a hidden agenda. If you knew me well you would understand. Imre like others here in Toronto know my story very well and i'm not surprised he made a comment.

That is the end of my comments for this thread.

Danny I do understand and also believe something will be done and soon. You achieved what you had perhaps hoped for and Colin said he is on it. I waited over a year for my car to get back on the road (nothing to do with Colin) so I know what the waiting is like. In my case all the planets and Stars aligned in my favor and I got very lucky to have all these great people in my neck of the woods at the same time.
Best,
Roger

are the injectors stock size? much discussion previously that the 19lb are close to being maxed out when tuning and the 24lb versions give more room to 'play'

intake refresh is on the winter project list for my GTS

24Lb injectors - any changes and you will need 24Lb at least. Only downside is that it screws up the MPG digital readout.

I'd prefer slightly bigger ones for better top end control. But yes it does throw out the digidash calculations.

Malcolm: going a little OT, but you asked
HTML Code:
now where to find GT cams?
. Impossible to find originals. S3s can get minor modified and are then called GTs, but I don't think they are technically exactly the same, ask Roger about this. Colin has some of his own, opinions vary on the aggressiveness of his grind. They are pricey IMHO, but as noted, there aren't a lot of alternatives.

SteveG,

The S3 camshafts are exactly the same in lift and duration as the GT camshafts, but have a LSA of 114 vs the GT of 110.

My new cams are $2,000.00 have no core charges, are not welded at all and are bolt in replacements that do not require new or specially coated lifters. I am more than willing to work on other grinds for customers wanting a more mild grind. However I have seen zero loss or torque or power anywhere through the range over stock cams, and driveability remains the same as stock.

There are others who have welded camshafts, and they cost more than my new ones, with a core charge to get your original camshafts to be returned.

The issues that had been had in the past have nothing to do with camshafts themselves, but from the springs which came from a certain distributor being made out of inferior steel.
The springs I am currently using are made by PAC, and are of very high quality. I am daily driving my car to rack up as many miles as quickly as I can for testing them as much as I can. But one can only put on so many miles in a year.
