why cant you just take a regular bolt and drill and tap it?
seems like that would not be too hard to make, even if you had to have a machine shop fab it....
Yes that can be done too.
You drill out the internal "Hex" that's used to install/remove the plug and then Tap it.
Then you need to grind the outer (round) plug into IIRC a 17mm so it can be reinstalled into the block.
Had a friend with a machine shop do it for me and it's installed in my 86.5 "onion" car, front most hole.
wired it up your way Alan. after talking to Sean. still waiting to find the block plugs anyway. so i can't test it out yet.
I actually don't think the selection between 1/2 ground/signal matters since it is a piezoelectric effect and not inherently polarized. You would think Porsche would have just picked a configuration and stuck with it across years though...
