Does $1 really makes a difference when marketing a product? I think it's an old fashion way of thinking.

Would $300 make you more likely to buy one?

Marketing studies have proven over and over again that the dollar does make a difference in buyer's mind and acceptance of price. Perhaps by conditioning or perhaps because it works.

Walmart and other retail stores are going towards the whole numbers as opppsed to the $xx.99 pricing. I just find it interesting that people can be naive enough that a cent or a dollar makes a difference. To me it never mattered. $299 is $300 to me and I don't think I'm the only one.

Your point is?

Tell you what, when you start selling your products I won't tell you how to market them or what you should charge for them, promise.

Now go find some other thread to barf on.

WTF? Can't ask a question anymore without taking an offence to it? All I'm interested is why are you charging 299 and not 300?
