Hmm.. that third link, the petrol blue one, looks like a good candidate for overhaul.

the red one in Richmond would be first on my list. Everything significant has been done to it. The other two are projects. All of them will continue to appreciate in value over the next few years. Start with the known good one.

An '81 5-speed, but in silver/blue leather in great condition..
sounds like a decent deal with the maintenance done.

But if you can wait for 'the one' contact Jim Doerr, he's the early man..

"1981 Porsche 928S - $4995 ... FIRM FIRM FIRM. HAVE 10K INVESTED!"

And there you have it: Actual proof that every 928 is $10k away from being a $5k car!

Thanks for the kind referrals! Phil and I've been in contact. I'm working with him to find the right early 928. The red '78 is not the one because he desires a different color.

I like that, $10,000 invested. LOL!!!!

More like, I spent 10K and I am praying nothing else goes wrong until I can sell it.

It is a hobby, not an investment....Accept this undeniable fact and everything will be right with the world.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the petrol one isn't a euro from what I see.. Side markers, rear bumper, headlights, etc. to the original poster, be careful in people claiming "euro", a guy came up to me saying he had a " super rare" euro back in the day, showed me cell pics and it looked exactly like this blue one but I didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise. I think 78 manuals are awesome but I could be a bit biased..

It's a US car, not Euro/RoW. I suspect some people think it's a euro spec if it from Europe.
