Question 928 Wiring to CC Servo

I have been working on my cruise control system and the wiring that runs out into the left fender that goes to the servo unit has two additional wires in the same wiring harness that are not plugged into anything in that area. In fact the only thing in that area is the servo and the vacuum tank, vacuum hoses, the servo unit with the one pug (plugged in) and a wiring harness that passes through the area. There is noting in this area to plug these additional wires into, they are female connectors.

Lots of differences between a '79 and a '95...

Always helps to have info on the car.

What are the wire colors on the two in question?

I've got a 84 928s and I too have been working on my cruise. And yes my wiring harness down to the cruise vacuum actuator also has a set of wires going nowhere. Not sure what they are for but I looked all over for a loose connection too.

The car is a 1986 928 S.

Here is a picture of the two wires, one appears to me as being red and the other looks black with a white stripe. Also, there is a shadow on the floor from the flash.

Here is another picture of the same wires. Also note there is a shadow from the flash.

Is your car an auto? I seem to remember these connections were for manual cars, a clutch switch or something...

Those are the wires for the Euro side markers, they are in tandem with the turn signals.

Thanks guys for the help with this. I just wanted to make sure while I had things open that I did not need to connect these up to anything. This is on of those cars that if its not needed the po took it off and left it off, if it might drain the battery lets unplug it. If its broke lets live without it as long as I can drive the car. So what if the sunroof won't close all the way and the rear hatch leaks lets just remove the carpet.

Yes, its a project and needs lots of love, and MONEY.

Don
