The car is kinda dirty, and the wheels look like spit, so I'm not taking pics right now. Hope to get it cleaned up some time soon. When I get to 3rd coast and get the rear wheels on, I'll have plenty of pics to provide. I didn't take any pics at the panty place, so can't help there.

Well now, we're all (debatably) adults here and have seen dirty 928s before....not saying anything whatsoever, about the other thing.

OK, here's a bit more in-depth update. This car was owned by John and Karen in Hurst TX. John was sick and passed away about 2 years ago and his wife kept the car for sentimental reasons, and she took pretty good care of it and drove it once in a while.
It was advertised locally for sale, and I went and looked at it and drove it. Nothing seriously wrong, but needed some basics which didn't slow me down. Begged permission from She Who Must Be Obeyed, and bought it last Sunday. We got it to Roger's house and I released the flex plate tension. It was a bit high, and the pinch bolt was very loose. Got that setup and put in a new bolt, inspected the bottom of the car, and found the exhaust clamps loose also and the pipes slid back a bit. That was making a kind of rumble sound, so I pushed the pipes forward and tightened the pinch bolts again. Much better. The lower grill facia in front had broken in the center brace, so I but another brace on the side, and held it in place with a couple zip ties. More permanent solution to follow. We noticed the trans is leaking very slow, and the boots are great, it also has a nice new pan on it, so bonus!
Dropped it down off the rack and I repl the heater valve which was stuck open. Another bonus on an exceptionally warm 88F Sunday in Oct. It was having some hot start issues and we checked the temp II sensor good, but Sean diagnosed a bad fuel damper in front, and lucky me, we were standing around about 60 928s in various states of assembly. 'La-de-da, Look! Up there a big plane!' sneak-sneak... 'Hey, I happened to find this fuel damper sitting here, can I install it?' har-har. Car starts perfectly cold or hot now.
Has the orig Reno radio I think and the orig speakers too. Those speakers gotta go. Today I got home and pulled as much crud out of the interior as I could for a good cleaning. I got a few layers off. The OP had a dog - or 12 and they seemed to like riding in the 928 - arf, arf. Vacuumed until I could see carpet, then kept at it for a while. Wiped things down a bit, but not too hard. Then I got the hose out and took some of the gunk off the lower valance. It's not Andy-Clean (but then again, what is?) but it shows much better. Soooooo - took a few pics and sent them to Sean, I think he'll post them up later today when he's on beer, I mean lunch break.
I'm ashamed of my ugly man cover wheels, so I bought some wheels to put on it. It's gonna be bling, so I might as well really bling it. I wanted to get an idea what it will look like with the chrome zoomies on there so I staged them in place to cover my wheels. The only mods that I can see are the Momo wheel and shifter, and the dash and pod covers. I'm planning to have the dash covered in lipstick red just to be more of an azzhole than I already am, but don't know about the pod. That might get a bit to boner for even me. The only other mods I have planned at this time are red paint with blue script on the calipers, and the new speakers.
For a 1988 car with 92k on it the car drives quite well. I'm not used to having a Rogerbox so that's going to take some getting used to. I think the vac modulator may need adjustment but it's possible that the shift points are right, because I have no frame of reference. Another Sean check item. Next spring I'll evac the AC system and find the slow leak, then recharge it. Sean says it's been converted to R-134, but I have rear AC so maybe I can find a way to stay cool.
Running along on a 88F day, the temp is just slightly above the lower tick, and the oil sits at 4.5bar on the fwy. Cruise works, all lights, wipers, horn, heater, defrost, int lights, and stereo work fine, which is unusual. I think with the AC fixed I'll be happy. Haven't tried the sliding roof, and don't intend to. I may disconnect the wires to the motor so it can never, ever more again.
Once I get the new wheels installed, and the speakers I'll be a proud member of the 928 community again. This will become my DD next year sometime unless we buy a Kia, or Pontiac Vibe(gah).

Yeah, the dually look is really pop here in TX - yeehaa! lol
I think I'm doing something wrong on the LH cover in the pass footwell? Or I'm missing a upholstery bit? Not sure, but it looks ugly so I'm going to have to figure out what that should look like.
Momo says the wheel and shifter give me an extra 20 MPH. I had it up to 180, but had to back off cause I was running out of road. lol What is the opinion of the group? Keep Momo or go back to stock? I'm used to driving with this wheel now, and it looks kind of bling, so suits the rest of int. That dash cover is going to be one of my first projects. I have a spare dash in the garage to send out for recover.

Hey, just looked at my title and saw something weird. The make is listed as "Porsch" which is normal but the model is "S4".

wheel
So lipstick red seats and chrome wheels chrome shifter trim and chrome steering wheel trim?
I say it all must go. But at least the wheel. And whatever is lurking under the dash covering must be exterminated and purged.
