Default testing electrical connectors

Is it possible to test to see if the wires from the crank position sensor, knock sensors, MAF, and ISV connections / the connectors are good? If so how do I do it?
I have some connectors that look like they have some melted plastic in it

It would be best to get a copy of the work shop manuals (WSM) from anyone selling. I know Roger sells the ones on CD and there are paper copies on e-bay. There is a fantastic write up on how to do this diagnosis and it is step by step. I'm sure we could type it all out but man, that would take forever. The WSM's will help any 928 owner a hundred times over the time it is owned, I think it's a must have to properly enjoy the car. Or a nice, fat wallet to pay someone else to do it.
