Anyone interested in a Sin City, weekend GTG?

Got some connections at a few of the casinos, for cheap room rates, and might be able to get a track day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Plus I used to do custom fabrication and welding for Carroll Shelby. Get us a behind the curtain look at how the Cobra continuation cars, and Mustangs are built.

Every year POCA puts on a big Pantera show on Fremont Street. Might be able to swing something similar for the 928.

 

I would LOVE to do that Joe. Given enough advance notice that is !

The wife and I have been talking about going out there in 2015 for SEMA. We haven't been to that show since 01/02.

 

2015???? That's next year. I was hoping for something like yet this year! Then maybe we could do it again for SEMA in 2015. Winter just really doesn't happen in Las Vegas. Maybe we could do it for Thanksgiving or Xmas.

 

Be there weekend 10/24. Would LOVE to see Shelby Works!

 

That is a little too soon to plan a 928 GTG, but maybe you could make it back again later in the fall.

 

I don't know for sure why, but this suggestion really strikes my fancy. When some kind of date gets pinned down, or at least put into discussion, I will try to entice some of the Rocky Mountain Sharks to set up a caravan from the East Slope of CO thru here and to the GTG.

 

I doubt that anyone from CA will be interested in this kind of event since that is so far away from Las Vegas.

We have free bus rides from OC, kind of a boring drive even in a 928, but with some related events its not bad.

 

It's generally hotter n hell here in the summer, I mean like furnace hot!

What time of year would be preferable to most everyone? Also it shouldn't conflict with the other established events.

Lots of fun diversions here in Sin City. Suggestions please.

 

Marble falls is in Nov. I may run over. Andrew and I may do SEMA if you want to go. Then the Holidays start to back up everything. Joe, It really doesn`t matter. I`m close enough to get over there when ever your back in town. I used to do that run to Henderson every weekend when I had a place over there.
