Default Rear console key

This key is actually a different physical key than the door/ignition key, isn't it? I noticed my one key (which I've somehow lost, trying to see if Keys4Classics can help...but that's another story) didn't fit that lock and thought maybe the lock was bent. I did take a picture of my ignition key, thinking I would get a spare at some point, but since I never got a console key I can't do that. Do you know if they're linked in the "code database" or something? Is there any way to get a console key made based on info about your ignition key?

Interesting, I never realized that cover locked.

When a bad MF stole my bag with 928 Keys inside, dealer told me to send by email the code of the original ignition key and/or the VIN of the car . HE was able to send me the complete set of Keys for my car.

It just slides back like that? For some reason I thought there would be more room underneath there.

That picture does not show it open. The ashtray is positioned in front of the lid compartment.

Oops, you're correct. I was fooled by the open ash tray for some reason.
