Question AT symptoms...VB?

Ok, reaching out to the community after dealing with the below symptoms long enough.

The transmission has approx. 4k miles since rebuild (by one of the Masters). The fluid is fresh and serviced to the correct level. The modulator and Bowden Cable are adjusted accordingly.

I MANUALLY SHIFT, up and down.

1. After transmission is warm, it does not down shift to 1st gear when shifter is moved to 2nd gear position.
--I can move the shifter to Neutral then then move shifter back to 2nd gear position, then I get 1st gear start.

2. When downshifting to from 3rd to 2nd the transmission takes 2-3 seconds to downshift (feels like a slip).

3. Under load, the transmission feels like it’s slipping when upshifting in all gears (not only 2nd to 3rd). (Not noticed during normal driving)

Can all of these be related to the Valve Body?

Hi Darien , did you ever put a set of gauges on the trans to check for the correct operating pressures?

Good question...not yet. The vacuum line is practically new all the way back and the shifting anomalies happen at all stages. I have the modulator dialed in for firm shifts and can definitely feel it when shifting automatically.

Sounds like a pressure deal...but the valve body is like the brain of it all...does a lot of stuff.

4k on a rebuilt isnt much compared to the life you got out of the original set up that was untouched.
modullating pressure is different than line pressure. There is a different way of setting that. Internally i think? need to ask a master

you taking it to Sharktoberfest?

Copy all...tell me about it, the trans should be bullet proof after that build!

Yup, headed to Sharktoberfest, hope to discuss with Greg...looking forward to it!
