Default Fuel Lines metric to AN6 adapter size

I am thinking of converting to a single adjustable FPR in the rear and using flexible ss fuel lines and AN6 fittings. A thorough search showed lots of conversions to single FPRs from a few folks such as Duckman82, jorj7 to name a few.

What is the size of the metric AN6 adapter needed to connect to the Porsche fittings? There are so many variations made by Russel (AN6 to 10mm X1, or to 12, 14, 16, 18 etc X 1.0 or 1.5).

Please and thanks

Gregg Brown had these types of fittings made just for the 928. I would contact him about it as he knows fuel lines like nobody else.

Fred,

For the latest iteration of my fuel system I used a 16mm x 1.5 to -6 AN adapter (if I remember correctly) for the fuel rail to -6 AN hose. For the fuel pressure regulator to -6 AN hose I used one of Greg Brown's metric hose ends. This set up allowed me to use the stock fuel pressure regulator and still get the MAF to fit properly. When I was using an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator I used two metric/AN adapters and mounted the regulator on the driver's side firewall.

Adapter

Measuring the adapter outer diameter

Home made fuel line with adapter

Fuel line installed

Prior fuel pressure regulator

Hope this helps.

Here is a photo of the prior, prior set up...

Aeromotive instead of the Weldon fuel pressure regulator.

Thank you George & The FO.
I will be using an Aeromotive FPR and also make some home made lines to fit.
I will also eliminate the two dampeners as others have shown the system works fine without them

I would argue the system DOES work without them. It runs, right?

But plot the results in A/F over a # of hours driving, and you'll find issues not having them.

Update: Just helped a friend resolve an odd drivability issue.

Was the damper..it was bad.

You need a damper.
