ISV age verification
Hello. In 2009 I asked a mechanic to replace my ISV while he was swapping out my engine (after TBF). I am currently doing a intake manifold refresh. Is their anyway to tell if he actually swapped it out? I really just don't want to be driving my car a couple weeks from now and it cut off due to a bad ISV. The car is an '89. I remember when I had an 88. I took off the ISV that was bad, cleaned it, and connected a power supply to see it open and close. For some reason it did not work after re-installing. But a new ISV did work. I am just curious to see if BOSCH made a part number that was different from the Porsche part number made in '89. Obviously carbon dating the ISV would not be economically viable. Thanks

Hard to tell unless he gave you an invoice with a Bosch or Porsche part number.
