Default motorsport rardiator nipple ring...

Y'all who bought the 928 mootorsport radiators... was the nipple supplied as well? I'm trying to reuse the old one but it leaks and I think mine is missing the o ring...

I do believe mine has an o ring. I had spares (you don't ???) this part will fail and cause pressure/coolant loss. Everyone should have a spare.
Anyway, don't think this is a radiator part, should use the one from the removed radiator, but I would recommend a new one.

the part you show is broken the O ring is also gone.
NOTE if thats the bottom part of the nipple broken off in the radiator port,
you can try placing a red hot screwdriver into it remove it,
it will melt into the plastic and then unscrew it

buy two bleed nipples and two drain plugs,
keep the extras in your ashtray

you only need two of them dont forget the drain plugs they suffer the same way .

NOTE when installing, plug and nipple , use some DC111 on the O ring ,
NOTE these parts only get tightened to snug,
since the O ring does the sealing it only has to stay in the bore to seal

We have the plastic vent nipple in stock for those that need them.

Most just transfer them fromt he old radiator to the new one, like the fan switch. But on occasion, they are broken or buggered, so I stock them.

Just contact Gretchen in my office to get one: 920-485-0928

Mrmerlin: you do not a drain plug with our radiator. We eliminated that failure point from our design. No plastic drain plug.

Thanks Carl for the info about the drain plug.

FWIW it might be a good idea to include that nipple in the sale of the new radiator,
to remove another failure point,

You know, we've included it before, then had many returns of the nipple for a refund because they did not need it.

This is the simpler way to go - like the radiator hoses, clamps, and fan switch - you ask for it if you need it.

It is a plastic nipple mounted in a plastic end tank. So it does not get corroded/rusted in place. If the technician that is moving it knows what they are doing, they come right out without damage ready to go into the new one.

I bet out of every 10 radiators sold, we get 1 request for this nipple.

We stock the nipples complete with O ring for $4.
Drain plug if you need it is $3.95

We now sell the "Plug & Play" exactly the same size as stock all aluminum radiator developed by 928 International for $595. No more "make it fit" radiators.

No "make it fit" radiators here, either. Our end tanks are same size and shape as OEM for drop-in fit.

Our cooling core is 1/4" thicker (1/8" on each side, front and back) to maximize cooling. Customers using our radiator report the lowest temps they've ever seen on their temp gauges as a result.
