Default İnjector replacement

My 1987 S4's engine is being rebuilt. 2 of the injectors are not working. What are my options 2 or 8 new/used injectors, bosch/ aftermarket. Thanks

Get 8 new fuel flow matched 19lb injectors from fiveomotorsports. Roger at 928sRus carries them as well I think.

İs it risky to buy just 2 and replace the faulty ones?

Honestly I don't know. I guess it shouldn't be a problem if the injectors have the same flow rate. Maybe you could send all 8 injectors out to get tested and reconditioned. I just nknow some places inthe US and in Germany but there must be some in Turkey.

I have already done that, they have been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner and tested at different rpms, leak test, etc and the result shows, 6ok, 2needs replacement

I wouldn't mix and match- besides the flow rates possibly being different, the impedances might be a little different, or the opening times, or whatever. Too many possible uncontrollable variables.

See the discussion in post #8, here, for more detail:

It is way easier to just pick up a set of modern 4-hole 19 lb injectors from Roger or FiveOmotorsports, for not much more than the price of having the old ones cleaned and flow matched.

Looks like the two possible Design II Bosch 19 lb injectors that have the proper injector clip slots and look somewhat like stock 19 pounders are:

0 280 150 556

and

0 280 150 943

Thanks,
I will speak with Roger on Monday
Can I also use these 2 bosch injectors you mentioned, or they have not been tested on 928 yet?

The 556 or 943s will work fine on a stock 5L S4. I would buy them from Roger as he will be sure to include the proper diameter lower O-ring so you get proper sealing in the opening in the intake manifold.

Send them to me and I'll clean them for a nominal fee

I'll even replace the filters, pintle caps and o-rings.

Does that offer stand for anyone else?

Thanks, they have already been cleaned and tested on a similar equipment like yours but 2 of them turned out unrepairable due to sitting idle for a long time. Thanks for the offer anyway

When I sent injectors out for cleaning I sent a few extra so the cleaning/testing guy can put together a matched set. Good that I did as same as you a couple were bad/too far off.

Alabbasi,
I have the Stepson apart and would love to have the injectors cleaned, flowtested etc. What is your nominal fee and how can I get them to you?
