Looks like Maple Leaf Red to me.
I'm one of the new guys, feeling inadequate, but very confident that there is amazing help available here, on big and small matters (I just ordered some locking reversible ratchet flex wrenches, and a cordless impact wrench, which apparently will prove extremely useful.)
I think we ought to plan for a CanAm Shark Meet, if there isn't one already - perhaps in Watertown.

From one Ottawa old fart to another, welcome on board Gordo. Nice machine you got there, I like your choice of color ;-)
You should sign up with the local chapter of PCA and join us on monthly "coffee drives". Keep in touch - not that many of us here in Ottawa area.

Another Welcome to you.
There are plenty of us that are complete novices with these cars, so youre probably ahead already on that.
Plus your shark is looking in much better condition than most of ours too. I think you'll be at home here.

Hey Gord,
Welcome aboard - from one Canadian rookie to another! Nice car, looks to be in great condition!
Like you I spent hours (days?) reading the old posts, FAQ's and the random photo thread on this board. It's a great way to ease yourself into the collective knowledge base around our cars.
Have fun and enjoy!

Thanks Mr. Merlin (I liked your Spitfire better than the P-51s just saying...) and Curt, and Jan, and Bucko and Greg!
Jan... joining PCA is on the list (and Rennsport here locally)
Curt... I like the sounds of that... maybe all us Canadians should start calling our red cars "Maple Leaf Red"
Greg... I have lots of Atlantic connections, Grandparents were from NFLD, Mom was from Halifax and my Dad was from Glace Bay... My sister works in Greenwood and have cousins coming out the wazoo... I'll certainly reach out when I go down "home" next time
gordo
