Door Window Rod Guides?
Has anyone replaced these guides (due to the rattle with the window 1/2 open...)? Any guidance or photos?
I know of the quick-fix tie-wrap, but I've opted to buy new guides and was wondering if the community had any pointers.
thanks!

remove the door panels,
then the vapor barrier,
if no barrier get a shower curtain and some weldwood brush on contact glue to refit.
roll the window down a bit remove the two bolts that hold each guide
NOTE match them up prior to removal.
Remove the bolts that hold the round tube from the door,
tilt it so the bottom moves free then slide the guides off the rod and install the new guides.
It may take a few tries to get the window centered and the proper tilt at the top ,
so only snug the guide bolts while fitting,
once you have them positioned then loosen or remove the bolts one at a time and add a drop of blue Loctite.
Refit the door panel after fitting the vapor barrier and drip panels.
NOTE Lubricate the lock mechanism inside the door while the door panel is off.

Hi Bob -
A couple pics might help...
As Stan mentions above, you can see where the two screws go at the top to hold the pole on the door and also the rubber gromet/plug the base sits in.

Also i would buy a new rubber grommet at the bottom too (1 each side), it's dirt cheap and mine were completely mangled, which lets the bottom of the tube rattle around. be sure to take pics of how the guides sit on the tube, i almost started to mount one of mine upside down. you have in/out adjustment on the guides so like Stan said leave the bolts loose so you can adjust, i tightened mine up and the window was cocked terrible when i went to put it up, popping the weatherstrip out at the top when i first put it up. lucky i didn't break my window.
