Default 10 x 18 et65 front tires

Coming down the home stretch with my 81 Euro s. The car now has a complete s4 front suspension and brakes with the front fenders rolled. I am running Carrera III 18 x 10 et65 on all four corners and need help in determining the largest front tire I can run. Anyone running this combination? Thanks

I'm running 265 width on 9.5" et68 front wheels, and I think i'm pretty much there. They are on the wide side for a 265 though, so a narrow 275 is probably ok too.

Have a look at my thread, and down at the bottom, you can see how much the tyre extends beyond the fender... I wouldn't really want to go much more than that. So far I haven't hit the fender going over bumps though.

Have you put an extra stop on the rack to prevent rubbing at full lock?

I had a 255 on the front and had contact with the fender although the lip was not rolled, that is on a turbo II rim 18x10 et 65.

"Have you put an extra stop on the rack to prevent rubbing at full lock?" I haven't gotten that far yet. Was hoping to run a 265 up front and a 285 in the rear. Ideally I would like to run the same size on both ends but I would probably need an et70 to accomplish that and I don't want to spend that kind of money on the OB. Trying to put this car together by eating up my spares.
Ben what brand and model tire are you running?

The fronts are 265/40 R17 Bridgestone Potenza S02 and rears are 285/40 R17 Pirelli PZero.

Before they were mounted, I placed them next to each other, and the width of the Bridgestones were not far off that of the Pirelli's.

As a side note, I also have some Bridgestone Potenza S02 265/35 R18 that are wider than Toyo T1R in a 275/35 R18 that I also have.
