Default sick 87

Having a problem with my 87 928...... a couple days ago it ran rough like it was starving for gas when I accellerated...kinda like a carburatored engine when it is cold....ran fine at low speed..then it ran normal for a couple of days ...tody it died flat cold running about 60 mph...it would act like it wanted to start...would fire for a couple of rev's then die...I have switched relays..jumped the fuel pump relay & am getting fuel..it started when I jumped the relay, but would only run at a high idle, would not rev up...I took the fuel line loose at the front of engine (the line between the injectors) and had plenty fuel when I jumped the fuel pump, but it did not pump when I put the relay back in...I changed out 3 different relays, checked them & they all were working properly....It wants to start...but won't.....I feel it is a fuel delivery problem..but I don't know what else to look at...any clues????

If you turn the key on but don't start it do you hear the fuel injectors clicking randomly? Have you tried running it with the MAF connector disconnected from the MAF? When you jumpered the pump did you go to the back of the car and verify that you can hear the fuel pump running?

Time is running out for the 87 LH computer internal hybrid circuit that must be replaced. They will all fail, not based on usage, but age. If it has not been rebuilt, just do it. I had the same symptoms, chased all of the normal items, wasted a lot of time.
Find a known good computer to swap.

When I turn the key, the injectors chatter...I DID verify the fuel pump was running...plus I loosened the cross-over fuel line at the front of the engine & fuel "flew"...I haaven't unhooked the co0nnection to the MAF to see it it will start (will that create a "limp home" scenario??)
s far as a LH computer...I live in Bardstown KY & I've not seen another 928 in this area period. anybody in Louisville, Lexington or Elizabethtown have a commputer I could swap out..or anyone would let me borrow one...Where can I get it rebuilt?????

When I turn the key, the injectors chatter.

This is the classic indication that your chips are done,
rebuild the computer and the engine will run again

^+1. Your LH ECU is toast. Get a reconditioned unit and all will be well.
