Evren,
Did you find a suitable product for the undercoating that matches the factory product? I seem to remember you mentioning it somewhere.
I think these cars deserve a reserved spot in the Porsche museum next to the last GTS built. This is incredible work. Keep up the excellent work!
Cheers!
Carl

Thanks for your comments.
Regarding the undercoating here I found two products Terotex Super 3000 made by German company Henkel and another one made by Wurth. I have not removed the existing undercoating, the underbody has been cleaned and after that we applied 4 layers of Terotex super 3000. This product is not as thick as the original undercoating, as a result these 4 coats just strengthened the areas which were aged. Henkel- Teroson also has a thicker product similar to the original undercoating and you need a special gun to apply it. It is mainly used at the seams. If you want to try Terotex super 3000 I can send you one, please let me know.
Best,
Evren

Evren,
Thank you for the information and the offer. I don't need any at the moment, but I was going to add it to my list of useful products for the next project...well, if I'm crazy enough to do another
I realized a big and consuming part of these projects is the research trying to find similar or better products to use, and a material reference list would come in handy.
Cheers!

Cost per each car is far to the north of that figure. Two things to justify that seemingly ''irrational investment'' for you are;
The price of classic/semi classic cars here is quite high due to limitations on importing those: price of a typical 1970 Mercedes 280 SL Pagoda is around 120K euros, furthermore for a 2014 brand new 911 4S you need to pay approx. Euro 300K. That is outrageous, probably the highest price in the world, but lots of them on the road. The reason behind high prices are mainly import taxes. The cost of a gallon of gas is 9.45 Usd here ( 1 liter : 1.75 Euros). We have the highest price for gas in the world.
The blue 911 RSR that you can see right next to my car is recently restored and its asking price is 210K Euro.
The second one is I plan to ''make the market'' for late model ( 1987+) 928s. As far as I know there are 7 of these cars in the country and now I own 5 of them. In addition to the 91 GT and 88 S4. I have 87,89 and 90 S4's waiting to be restored.
Unforturtunaly there is no GTS here and almost impossible to import one for the next 10 years or so and the latest model 928 is my 91 GT. Quite a different world compared to US though.
Best,
Evren

LFA whomever you are , you are taking this restoration idea most of us have to some other planet.
I mean as incredible as what your building is,
what will you do with these machines?
They are far too pretty to put on the road, maybe they will live in a climate controlled garage.
You will win every concours you enter.
Keep Em Flying!!!
