Thats what I was thinking... while the glass lenses do break - I can't see a plastic lens surviving any better.

I just wish we could still get the stonguard

Actually these are worth every cent and very high quality using automotive lens plastic as per current vehicles.
I will be stocking them and already have an order in for 10 sets.
They require you to remove the existing glass from the grey plastic frame which can be time consuming. Then the new lens is held in place with a bead of silicone.
At last a way forward instead of paying the insane price to Porsche.

Roger,
Does the lens come out easily? In my experience the grey housing is so brittle it usually breaks. Any thoughts?

You certainly have to take care but we have not broken one yet.
What usually breaks is the adjusting mechanism - however you can repair that and set the position you need permanently. After all how many times do you adjust your lights.

That was my experience with the grey tabs holding the lens tightly.

My price is the same at $200 each either Right or Left.

After the none recurring is recovered they may be cheaper but we will have to sell a ton before that happens.

What was the reason you were removing the glass lens from the plastic frame? As a lens has never been available before I had never tried it until recently.
In the past you bought the lens complete with frame.

Replacement is usually because the existing glass lens is broken. This makes taking the lens out much easier.

I was trying to help someone <cough> John Curry <cough> who had put out a request for a nice used lens. I had my old pair sitting in the garage after installing the new pair I bought from you. In my attempt to remove the lens and help a brother out, I broke not only the grey tab, but the lens, too. Sigh...

Thanks for heads up, need to replace the lenses next winter while painting the front bumper. Have a cracks on both sides.

Is there any difference in those lenses between Euro and US models? I have US-model S4.
