Thank's guys Karl is correct, I don't have s type brakes, just plain old single piston early type. So if i am reading correctly, all I need is s type spindles, calipers and rotors? and of course I will have to change up to at least a 16" wheel to make it happen? Also do I need to do front and rear, or can I just do the front? My brakes suck at present and any thing would be a help.
Thanks again-Mike

I upgraded the brakes on my 81 to S spec. I had no complaints about the stock brakes until I hit the track for a DE event.

I'am running Wagner pads, stock, but new rotors and fluid has been flushed till clean at least twice. Just DOT3, but I firured if it was good enough for stock should be good for plain street driving. Master cyl was replaced with new from Roger a few years ago, also new rubber lines front and rear. I can't get the car to squat no matter what. If I had to make an emergency stop, I would be a bit worried.
Thanks again Mike.
Thanks again Mike.

Wagner??
I'd try some Hawk HPS pads (or anything else by Hawk or Pagid or whatever Roger recommends) before shelling out for a total brake upgrade.
My 81 with Pagid Orange pads would easily lock up the front tires. After repeated laps they started to fade. On the street, never a problem.
