Low RPM Shudder Post Manifold Removal.
Guys,
I'm not sure where to look.
Removed manifold to place new throttle body gaskets. Now on start up I note engine shakes and doesn't have that even Humm on idle. At low acceleration significant shuddering felt. Does go away at high rpm, or is at least not perceptible.
To note, I spliced damaged wires at Cyl. 3 injector. I can feel all injectors clicking.
Can I detach while running, and what would I see on the DVM when I attach to injector leads ?
Sure feels like a miss to me. I just want to be certain.
Anything else I need to consider ?
Thanks in Advance.
Craig

Yep, as I suspected.
I was pulled away for a while, but yes it was a fault in my repair at #3.
I didn't allow for the slack that was needed for the wire to make its sharp turn to the injector.
Now it is back to its original Hmmm...
Yes, I...

Craig,
Does the idle is ok?
Stable and where it should be?
I'm asking this because I had a problem with the O2 sensor and it was giving me a low idle and some shuddering too.
You can try this:
- Disconnect the ground battery cable.
- Disconnect the O2 sensor.
- Reconnect the ground cable and start the car, with the O2 sensor disconnected.
If everything is ok now, stop the car and reconnect the O2 sensor. Don't disconnect the ground cable.
This will clear the old adaptation values.
It's worth a try, and doesn't cost anything :-)

Good luck.
Edit: Just read your second post!
Glad that you found the problem.

Bertrand,
Thank you mon frere 928.
You advice was excellent for the reset.
I have made the fire once again with a simple re look at my last touch of things.
Adieu.

Good outcome. I had the same issue after dorking around with my injectors. One of the u clips was not seated all the way. Prior to finding that I was imaging all sorts of horrible things.

Thanks Don.
My repair of the injector wire was # 1 on my list, but I wanted to hear from the Guys if that wasn't going to be the case so I could prepare for the diagnosis and repair.
I am so..so careful with fuel line work now - I didn't seat an injector in to the rail properly my first time dealing with them and the pressure is significant as was the gasoline mist... I was quite stressed for a few moments. Whenever I work with fuel system in any way I have extinguisher very close at hand.
Thanks again.

That is a very good precaution. I have one nearby also. Forgot to tighten the dampener to fuel rail when I did the water bridge work and man you are not joking about the fuel pressure. Makes you freak out when it starts spraying. Cannot believe I forgot to tighten it but that's why they call them accidents. Best to be prepared as much as possible.
