Been there. That's a sh&&TY/Dangerous situation.
Please order ALL fuel lines. Your car looks to be an 86 or older, so those fuel lines are more than likely...TOAST!

Don't bother with scratchy lotteries for a while, you've used up all your good luck. +1 on Roger for a complete set of replacement fuel lines-

928 110 269 01 - front crossover hose
928 110 367 14 - fuel supply hose
928 110 271 00 - rear crossover hose
999 181 152 50 - fuel return hose.

Makes me glad that my car is at Greg's now, having a few things done, including replacing all fuel lines. It's not expensive compared to most 928 repairs, but buys a lot of peace of mind and avoids a potentially very nasty incident.

Please do replace all the fuel lines, for your own safety and the car's!

Wow I did think about all the electrical components that the gas went on and I was kind of freaking out , the car was running too when it was leaking . Just thinking about it again gives me goose bumps. It could have been a toast 928. Thanks for help I will call Roger on Mon .

Yes, you are incredibly fortunate.
When you call Roger, get Greg Brown's fuel lines.

Those cracks on that U shaped hose are not what caused the leak. Cut the line in half. There is a hard plastic line covered by the rubber. The rubber is only there for abresion protection, not to hold the fuel pressure, the had plastic line does that. Have a good close look at where exactly the leak was coming from.

+1 on Greg Brown's fuel lines.

Buy a lottery ticket as well- you've been extremely lucky! Glad nothing bad happened!

Yes. Very lucky to say the least.
Change all fuel lines before driving it again.

This could have turned a lot worse!

Yes I do have a fire extinguisher and it is the u shaped hose for sure as I saw it drip when it was still on car and I bent it more .but yes I will change all the fuel lines. It was dripping right on the ground wire that is attached to the block. Behind the mas sensor. This is a second time I was lucky with no fire . First was the on rail fuel pressure gauge and the oil drained out it and im glad I noticed it when it was still 1/3 full . So I took it off.
