The part in the picture below is part of the cooling system. The one end is damaged. Is it possible that we cut the damaged end off or in its application does it need the swedge on the end? Looking for some advice. Or is this piece too far gone and we should look for a new one? Does anyone know the part number and best place to get one?

Thanks, but really! Roger knows the 928 inside and out, and he is very fair on his prices. You can call him and tell him what you need, and he knows what you are describing.

Thanks Dave. We kind of thought it might but figured it was worth asking as I am sure not an expert at any of this engine stuff.

Yes, he is. I like talking with Roger. He is very patient with all my questions I throw at him. If I ask him one more question about fuel lines though, well, I'm just lucky he's several states away...lol Laura is very helpful too when he is out of the office.

Actually that does not look too bad. Make sure the hose pushed well over area with the corrosion hole and use two clamps to hold and seal the hose in place. Use some corrosion inhibitor or buy a good used one from Mark at 928 International.

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

Hey GG,
Same thing happened on my car. Cut it, polished, painted, baked, clamped. Works fine, re-clamped one time and no leaks. Next time I go to 928 Int. I'll get a new one, the hoses are a little stretched.
