i'm new in the area, recently moved back to fla from canada. i am dearly missing my 928 mechanic up there! any recommendations for guys who know the 928 well? i am in st pete and work in clearwater so i'd prefer to stay on that side of the bay if possible. usually i just have a pro do the oil changes so they can look for other issues at the same time. right now I am getting new rubber so i want to get an alignment so that's a particular concern.
also as for local shark owners does anyone own or know someone with a lift? i have a small intermittent trans leak from around the torque converter (leak inherited from PO) and i feel better when i can put my eyes on the level, which is really hard to do when its on the ground!
lastly, anyone wants to go for a cruise some time, let me know!!

Reeves has their monthly sports car meet this Saturday. http://www.reevesimportmotorcars.com...orts-gathering
I think there are some Rennlist guys that go to that. I keep trying to make it down for these (first Saturday of the month) from Gainesville but keep having other commitments to make.
Also, check this thread for several local Tampa area 928 guys that you may be able to PM for service recommendations.

Welcome back to a place you really can be "oat n a boat." Perhaps we can cook something up among the Suncoasters and friends. I have a guy who does work for me who is a childhood friend. He is by no means a specialized 928 guy but has the ability to tackle most any issue. He has worked with the Suntrust racing teams and handles the troubleshooting and repair of many collector cars. He recently worked on Brian Johnson's vintage racer. (AC/DC). If you find someone close to you who is an exclusive 928 type, great! If you want my guy's info or want me to run an issue by him, I'd be glad to. Regards,
G
